Development Executive (maternity cover)

London

In 2016, Heyday formed a co-venture agreement with NBCUniversal International Studios, a division of NBCUniversal Content Studios, to form Heyday Television. The two companies had previously collaborated on the Worricker trilogy of British Intelligence dramas starring Bill Nighy, Ralph Fiennes, Rachel Weisz, Christopher Walken, Helena Bonham Carter and Winona Ryder, written and directed by David Hare for BBC Two. Together they produced The Capture, which launched on BBC One last year. Written and directed by Ben Chanan, the conspiracy thriller starred Holliday Grainger and Callum Turner. Series one became the most successful original drama on iPlayer for 2019, with 20 million requests and a second series was recently commissioned by BBC One. The series will also debut on streaming service, Peacock, in the US.

Heyday also produced the three-part adaptation of Andrea Levy's award-winning novel, The Long Song for BBC One. Starring Tamara Lawrence, Hayley Atwell, Jack Lowden and Sir Lenny Henry, the television series received two BAFTA nominations.

The company is also currently in production on Clickbait, a character-based thriller for Netflix, that explores the ways in which our most dangerous and uncontrolled impulses are fuelled in the age of social media.
