Development and Production Associate

England

JOB VACANCY

We are urgently looking for a new Associate to help us with the development and production of major feature films.

The work involved will be of a very high calibre, including attaching directors, production crew and finance to various projects, casting, and general creative work (i.e. constructive comments on scripts, treatments, etc.).

Among the tasks that our new Associate would be undertaking would to review new clients and projects as and when they are come to us.

You would not be working from our offices but from your home or wherever is most convenient to you.

There are no "fixed" hours when you are expected to work, and in principle we would have no objection to you working another job alongside your work for us provided all necessary arrangements are made between us accordingly.

Once the project is formally signed up by us, you would work with the existing staff to help package the film and bring it to fruition.

Payment would include the following:

- a title as "associate producer" or "development associate" or similar

- a similar credit in the relevant film project(s) you are involved with

- a percentage of any upfront fee that may be payable to us in respect of a new incoming project which you have reviewed (eg if we are paid an upfront fee of say £1,500 in respect of a certain project, you would be entitled to ca. 5% of this, or £75)

- a percentage of ca. 5% of any funds received by us during the course of development or pre-production of a certain film you are involved (eg if you are developing a film with us and you assist in securing £100,000 of development funding payable to us, you would receive £5,000).

- an industry-standard fee from the budget of each relevant film upon principal photography commencing. This fee is likely to be in the region of £20-30,000 for a project with a budget of £5m.

- your phone and postage expenses, etc. would be covered, and you will receive an e-mail account and address in the leomediagroup.com domain name.

This is a unique opportunity to get great experience getting involved with top-level feature films, producers, actors and directors.

Your work would not be limited to one kind of film or genre but instead you would get the chance to work on a very wide range of film and television projects (including action, adventure, romantic comedies, TV series, documentaries, period dramas, etc.).
