The purpose of the role is to support the Head of Paintshop in running the department and work as a Scenic Artist on a broad range of scenery, using a wide range of skills and materials.

The Deputy Head of Scenic Art would also play an active role in the creative decision making process and would be involved in liaising with designers, sampling and running some projects.

Candidates would ideally have experience of working in a workshop environment for over 2 years. Duties would include ordering materials, working with suppliers, scheduling and booking staff.

Rocket Scenery is a company blessed with great workshops, paint frame and permanent floor painting area. The successful candidate will be joining a welcoming and friendly team of specialist craftspeople from metal fabricators, carpenters to scenic electricians and a cook too!

Senior Scenic Artist is a permanent full time role so has all the employee benefits including overtime pay after 38 hours, holiday pay, sick pay, pension contributions and our working week finishes at 1pm on a Friday so a longer weekend.
