We are recruiting a Costume Workroom Assistant.

The successful candidate will be based in the Alterations section of the Costume Workroom at the National Theatre, Southbank, working under the guidance of the Head of Alterations. Working across all our productions, we fit and alter modern and vintage clothing as well as costumes from our own stock to be re-used within a production. Our skilled Costume makers adapt and transform the costumes, working on both men's and ladies wear, tailoring, stretch and anything in between.

We're looking for candidates with excellent accurate hand and machine sewing skills, a familiarity with different sewing machines and an in-depth knowledge of sewing terminology and techniques, preferably gained through working in theatre.
