We are seeking a talented and creative Copywriter to join the digital subscriptions team. In this role, you will focus primarily on Mail+, the subscription platform for MailOnline. Mail+ launched in January, expanded to Australia and New Zealand in October and has quickly grown to over 100,000 subscribers. We have plans to expand into new markets in 2025 and have ambitions to make Mail+ one of the largest media subscription brands in the world.
The ideal candidate will be a skilled wordsmith capable of crafting compelling, engaging, and on-brand content across various platforms, from campaigns to newsletters, the website and paid media, to help grow our global audience.
Main Responsibilities
Content Creation: Write, edit, and proofread engaging copy for various channels, including email, website content, social media and newsletters.
Brand Voice: Develop a tone of voice for Mail+ and ensure consistency across all content; adapt writing style as needed for different platforms or campaign objectives.
Collaboration and stakeholder management: Work closely with designers, marketers, product managers, and other team members to create cohesive, high-quality content.
Project Management: Manage multiple projects with overlapping deadlines; prioritise tasks to meet delivery timelines.
Person Specification
Extensive copywriting experience, ideally in marketing, advertising, or a creative agency.
Exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading skills
Proficiency in digital marketing
Ability to adapt writing style to different audiences and platforms
Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality
A solid grasp of subscription models
Creativity and an innovative approach to storytelling
Excellent time-management skills with the ability to work on multiple projects
