Content Operations Co-ordinator

London

The Content Co-ordinator is part of the Content Management team at A+E Networks EMEA in Hammersmith.

This team forms part of the Operations department, which is responsible for providing all the technical and operational broadcast services to A+E Network EMEA's businesses (UK domestic and EMEA international). We utilise a diverse range of end-to-end broadcast systems, encompassing the entire production workflow from receipt of content, post-production, compliance and ultimately on-air delivery. Content registration, sourcing, tracking, enriching and delivery all fall in the remit of the Content Management team.

You will be responsible for performing the day-to-day activities of the Content Management team, including asset registration, prioritisation, process tracking and delivery of content under the management of the Head of Content Management.

You will be expected to co-ordinate and communicate the status of all incoming and outgoing media assets to the business and its external clients/suppliers and to work closely with other departments to keep them up to date on material movement and to meet publishing deadlines.

This position will liaise with the clients of Content Management on a daily basis and is expected to provide exceptional service levels, helping to resolve daily operational challenges as they arise.

This role will be hybrid based in the London office, working on exciting, award-winning brands like Sky HISTORY and Crime+Investigation.


Key Responsibilities

Responsible for the amalgamation of all longform schedules, programme lists and missing lists, including bespoke VOD, to inform delivery dates for Compliance and in turn determine the need by dates, dependent on publishing, revoicing or languaging requirements.

Build and maintain excellent relationships with other departments across the company.

Liaison with other business units (Acquisition, Programming, Scheduling, Creative, Digital, and Marketing...) to agree content priorities and delivery timelines.

Build and maintain excellent relationships with service providers and distributors.

Liaise with service providers, allocate and monitor their work.

Manage programme versions within the channel management systems ensuring the data is accurate and consistent.

Track programmes deliveries to ensure timely delivery and escalate to managers if timelines may be impacted, ensuring we do not exceed our late delivery targets.

Track all necessary media workflows and co-ordinate with Tech Ops, to process any requests submitted to ingest, QC, transcode, export or archive material by the date required.

Act as a point of contact for all media tracking related enquiries for A+E International, acquired, commissioned and co-produced programming.

Chase late delivered programming and replacement elements by liaising with production companies on a regular basis; and update, maintain and distribute information on premier materials to the business regularly and accurately.

Contribute and collate statistics to produce weekly and monthly reports as required.

Various other duties deemed appropriate to the role.

Attend regular meetings with internal departments and external service providers.

Actively look to improve processes and find efficiencies.


Person Specification

Essential Knowledge / Skills:

An understanding of a broad set of broadcast production tools.

Overall understanding of broadcast operations processes.

Expert knowledge of asset management processes and procedures.

Expert knowledge of Channel management Systems.

Expert knowledge of the key metric of metadata, supporting digital programme content on-air and across multiple platforms.

Diplomatic yet forceful communicator, flexible and able to adapt communication style according to cultural environment.

Comfortable with presenting.

Very good attention to detail and meticulous.

Strong data analysis skills.

Customer oriented and focused.


Essential Experience:

Proven track record of working successfully in a Broadcast Operations role.

Proven experience in a multi-platform, fast moving digital environment.

Experience of liaising with vendors and content providers.
