Chat Box TV Channel Operator

We offer an interactive chat service through Chat Box TV on Sky TV Channel 874. Customers can send their text and picture messages, which will appear on the TV screen, and also have their voice messages broadcasted by calling our numbers.

As a Chat Box TV Operator your duties will cover alternatively the following two functions during the 8-hour shift:

TJ
* Sending messages to the audience with the objective of generating SMS activity from them to the channel.
* Keep up SMS conversation with viewers.
* Keep informed about entertainment topics and creative ideas on how to generate maximum response.
* Follow given guidelines.

Moderating
* Moderate all incoming SMS and MMS messages, edit them if necessary and publish to screen or reject when necessary.
* Listen to Audio messages and publish to screen or reject when necessary.
* Follow given guidelines.

The office is open 24/7 and you are requested to be as flexible as possible with regards to covering the shifts. Each shift is 8 hours long with ¿ hour for lunch. During each shift you will work as a team with another operator and your commitment and punctuality are essential for the smooth running of the service and the department.

This is a part-time position and we aim to give you a minimum of 1 shift per week with a maximum of 4 shifts per week. However, overtime is often available.

As a Chat Box TV Operator you will have a flair for entertainment and an interest in TV media. You will have excellent communication skills and enjoy engaging the TV viewers in conversation about a wide and diverse range of topics and issues.

The aim of this role is ultimately to offer a valued, entertaining and engaging service to our customers, encouraging and initiating message exchanges between as many customers as possible, while ensuring a clean and respectful environment for all.

The shift patterns and rates of pay are below. A bonus scheme is also paid on top of this based on performance.
