We are recruiting for a Chargehand Electrician, to support the Chief Electrician and Deputy Chief Electrician in the safe, and efficient running of all performances and related activities within the Savoy Theatre. To work alongside the Chief and Deputy to support and maintain building systems and machinery in accordance with agreed schedules and budgets.

Principal Accountabilities:
To help ensure the safe and efficient get-in, rigging and get out of lighting of all productions.
To operate the lighting board.
To assist the Chief and Deputy Electrician in ensuring the safe and efficient operation, maintenance and PAT testing of all electrical equipment located in the building.
To work with the Chief and Deputy Electrician ensuring all casual staff are adequately trained.
To work with the Chief and Deputy Electrician to ensure the lamping and general maintenance of the building lighting is carried out within the agreed parameters.
To assist the Chief and Deputy Electrician in formulating and monitoring risk assessments and method statements for the LX department.Knowledge/Experience/Skills Needed:
Essential:
Experience of working in an arts venue.
Good leadership qualities with the ability to be a team player.
A commitment to customer care and a welcoming personality.
An attention to detail, with the ability to meet deadlines.
Knowledge of Health and safety legislation.
Good IT skills and aptitude.
Confident and calm under pressure.
A willingness to work flexible hours including evenings, week-ends and public holidays.
Eager to learn & develop new skills.Desirable:
A relevant electrical qualification.
Building maintenance experience.
First Aid trained.
Trained in working at height.
