BLINK INDUSTRIES is an Emmy-winning and BAFTA-nominated development and production studio based in London. We specialise in bringing an inventive, mixed-media approach to our slate of Comedy and Family projects, and we're passionate about developing ideas that look and feel like no other.We are looking for talented and multi-faceted CG lighting & rendering artists, starting end of 2023, to join our team on an exciting new 2D/CG mixed media TV series project that we're bringing to life at our North-London-based studio.REQUIREMENTSA minimum of 1-2 years of relevant experience working on an Animated TV SeriesAbility to work in a fast-paced and highly creative series environment and understanding of importance to work to schedule and within scopeExpert knowledge of CG pipelines and enthusiastic about the latest techniques, software and visual trends, especially within the animation industry Expert knowledge of and sense for lighting and rendering setups and continuity to achieve the desired emotional impactHigh attention and care for detailAbility to take feedback constructively and implement it effectively Strong ability to multi-task and a creative and proactive approach to problem-solving Comfortable adapting to different styles and working to creative and technical briefingsExpert knowledge of lighting and rendering in Autodesk Maya and ArnoldKnowledge of mixed-media and After Effects pipelines (a plus)WHAT WILL YOU BE DOING?The Lighting/Rendering Artist will be part of a team of CG Artists to setup, light and render still and moving background plates and layers using as a reference the provided layouts, lighting scripts, key-shots, sets and briefings.Day-to-day work include, but is not limited to, lighting scenes using the provided layouts and briefings, preparing and optimizing scenes and sets for rendering, monitor rendering processes and perform quality checks on renders.The role is based at our North-London based Studio in the UK/England and requires the candidate to have the right to work in the UK.
