CFX Artist - DreamWorks Animated Feature

We are hiring now for immediate starts!

Jellyfish is recruiting for experienced CFX Artists for an animated feature with a major Hollywood production studio, Dreamworks Animation. Remote work is possible, the role is to start immediately.

Key Purpose of the Job:

The CFX department is responsible for designing and creating elements and effects across the project. They will work closely with the rest of animation pipeline to create seamless integration into shots.

You will work collaboratively with your team to find the best technical and creative solutions in order to meet production needs and produce simulations that matches the high quality vision for our projects.

Please note - due to the Covid-19 outbreak, Jellyfish Pictures is currently operating remotely. In order to be considered for this job, you will therefore need to be able to work from home at least at the beginning of your appointment. Should things change, artists will be required to work in studio from London. If shortlisted for an interview, you will be sent some questions to assess your homeworking capability.

Requirements
Essential

Houdini knowledge is a must
Experience with Cloth Sim and Vellum Solver
Develop tools used in CFX to enhance pipeline and ability to execute systems developed by other CFX artists.
Works with the rest of the team to creatively solve problems and troubleshoot effectively.
Knowledge of Python.
Ability to interpret feedback and expand upon the art direction given.
Works with the rest of the team to creatively solve problems and troubleshoot effectively.
Rethink how you approach tasks to improve workflow.
