Job Description
As the Casting Assistant, you will be a key player within the Model Team to supply and nurture a continuous stream of exciting models. We book up to 30 models per day, cast up to 100 potential models per week and work with over 100 suppliers worldwide so this role is vital in ensuring the logistics run like clockwork. You will work with the team to ensure we continue to be one step ahead of the competition and deliver the best model assets in the industry for our 20 something customer. This role is very fast paced, varied and exciting. You'll be faced with pressured situations, so it requires someone with enthusiasm, initiative and a can do attitude.?It is vital that you are passionate about fashion and models - you are excited to learn more about the industry and how we can continue to deliver the best assets to our ASOS customer.

What you'll be doing...

Ability to develop and maintain excellent agency relationships within the model industry to ensure we maximise our position in the market.
Creative ability to understand the overarching ASOS model aesthetic across MW and WW, as well as the aptitude to understand shoot concepts and casting nuances.
Demonstrate an excellent ASOS casting 'eye', trend awareness and motivation to secure exciting new faces before the competition.
Proactively sourcing new models through all methods, including casting models in person.
Responding to specific casting briefs by liaising with model agencies to option and negotiate time on the strongest possible models for required shoot dates.
Working within a set model budget, negotiating rates with agencies and delivering appropriate talent for a brief whilst meeting this requirement.
Putting together model decks for marketing shoots including sourcing necessary self-tapes.
Responsible for the admin tasks required to book models: including but not limited; to call sheets, confirmations, booking reminders and internal coms on model/booking info.
Responsible for organising, booking, logging and communicating with agencies on the logistics of model bookings including flights, accommodation and taxi's etc.
Liaise with fashion team on any pre shoot arrangements for models such as fittings, hair & nail preparation, communicating instructions to agencies so models are well prepped.
Liaise with producers on all pre-shoot details regarding models such as allergies, dietary requirements or extra considerations.
Excellent understanding of the model booking system, and responsible for the upkeep of model and agency profiles and contacts within this. Create model packages to showcase models within the business, having an excellent eye for image and content selection.
Attend required shoots as the key model contact, being on hand to support models.
Qualifications

Minimum 2 year model booking experience
Strong communication and people skills.
Passion for the model industry and an excitement to work in a studio environment.
Excellent team player who thrives working in a fast-paced department.
Excellent organisational and administrative skills.
Strong ability to time manage and prioritise.
Ability to stay calm in pressured situations, always remaining proactive and professional.
Aptitude to learn quickly and ability to adapt to change.
Excellent attention to detail and focus whilst having the ability to be alert to what is happening around you.
Ability to be resourceful and think on your feet.
