Casting AP
London hybrid
HYBRID
Rex TV are looking for an experienced Casting AP for a returning BAFTA winning arts/ entertainment, travelogue series for BBC Arts.
The role will start ASAP for approx 4 - 6 weeks, working part time with the potential to increase to full time, working at our central London offices, or remote - negotiable depending on the right individual.
The series features two witty, clever and engaging presenters and we are looking to cast equally charismatic on-screen personalities, who are not only involved in the arts or have unique insights into our chosen country's culture and traditions, but who are also practically engaged - people who are actively making, creating, performing, or doing.
We want to make art and culture accessible to a wide audience so we're looking for contributors who bring often complex art or specialist factual ideas to life, through action, not just commentary, so the role demands creative thinking to blend entertainment with factual storytelling.
Working closely with a small team, SD, Producer, AP & EP, a key part of the role involves identifying compelling stories, casting via Zoom/Teams etc, and actively sourcing talent and trends on social media, so being highly skilled with platforms like TikTok and Instagram is essential.
Rex TV particularly encourage disabled applicants and those from an ethnic minority background as part of the industry's drive to protect diversity.
We are an equal opportunities employer who values the differences that a diverse workforce brings to the organisation. We are committed to the equal treatment of all current and prospective employees, and do not condone discrimination on the basis of age, disability, sex, sexual orientation, pregnancy and maternity, race or ethnicity, religion or belief, gender identity, or marriage and civil partnership.
We aspire to have a diverse and inclusive workplace and strongly encourage suitably qualified applicants from a wide range of backgrounds to apply and join us!
