We are looking for experienced Casting APs to work on CHESS MASTERS an ambitious new competition format for The BBC. The role will be based in our Cardiff office.
The role includes casting/targeting incredible chess players of all ages and backgrounds and pitching them to senior members of the team, running online auditions and conducting research chats with potential contributors. There is the possibility of moving into the role of Studio AP or Welfare AP in studio.
Contract Dates: 19th August to 8th November 2024
Skills you'll need
-Experience successfully casting premium prime-time shows essential. Experience working on competitive formats or large-scale series preferred.
- Must have proven track record finding incredible contributors using an array of casting methods and must be confident working to tight deadlines.
- Applicants must be confident using zoom to cast and have experience cutting creative casting tapes for major broadcasters. You must have a natural interest in people, understand a gripping human story, and be an empathetic and clear communicator.
- Experience dealing with contributor welfare is an advantage as well as experience working as Welfare AP on location.
-You will be extremely organised, have an eye for detail and the ability to manage your own workload. You will have excellent communication skills and a good work ethic. Must be able to work under pressure and to tight deadlines.
-Experience working as an AP in studio an advantage.
