Technical Assistant

London

We're looking for a Technical Assistant with industry experience to join our Award Winning Film team. Specialising in branded content, promos and corporate films, we pride ourselves on making content that pushes boundaries and delights audiences.

Working with our team of highly experienced filmmakers your role will be key to helping us achieve outstanding productions time after time. Primarily you will be responsible for all filming equipment (FS7, C300 etc..) in-house or hired-in, as well as our mini-studio and ingest. You will work with our producers and production management team advising on creative and technical solutions for our shoots.

You will be technically proficient and hands on. Ensuring kit is packed and prepped ready to go. We work across a range of productions from low budget virals to high-end dramas filmed across the world, therefore problem solving and the ability to think fast on your feet fast are essential. This is a varied role based at our studio in Imperial Wharf overlooking the Thames.

As an all-round technical wizard, you'll also be comfortable working with our post team copying and transcoding rushes. We run both Avid and Premiere suites, so you'll be up to speed on both platforms.

There's lots of scope for a self-starter to make the role their own and fantastic career progression opportunities, be it into production, post or camera department.

Skills and experience
- At least two years experience in a facilities or production environment and an understanding for the films we make
- Expertise in a range of cameras particularly the Sony FS7, FS5, C300
- A working knowledge of Avid and Premiere workflows
- Experience setting up studios for shoots
- Prepping, checking and maintaining equipment
- Dealing with kit houses to hire in equipment
- An understanding of production management software like Farmer's Wife is preferable
