Camera Operator

I am seeking a highly motivated individual with a keen, creative sense of what makes intriguing content and eye catching visuals. You will navigate across Britain, recording the presenter's journey through the subject matter, coming across intriguing and controversial characters. Editing Skills are be a bonus.

You should have strong production skills and are able to work well in a team.

You will have a passion for the filming process with a keen interest in problem solving and understanding of an agile project management environment.

You must be flexible to travel across Britain during filming.

Role & Responsibility:
Responsible include acquiring and delivering quality film to producer, using a variety of equipment and formats depending on editor's criteria. You will work as part of a documentary team, with the host, producer and technical assistant.

Ideal Candidate:
A confident, skilled camera and lighting operator, able to use the latest non-linear HD cameras for EFP and documentary style content gathering.
The ability to operate consistently in high-pressure environments. Working environment may require a strong degree of flexibility due to planned but unforeseen events.
Assembling, preparing and setting up equipment prior to filming, which may include headphones, tripods, lights, cables and leads.
Planning shots to avoid multiple takes. Finding solutions to technical or other practical problems.
Being prepared to innovate and experiment with ideas.
Working quickly, using effective filming methods under conditions where natural light is available.
A good sense of visual composition, perspective and movement;
Ability to carry out instructions with great accuracy and attention to detail;
Ability to frame and compose shots and perform camera moves with precision and speed In-depth knowledge of the principles of camera;
Good colour vision, and excellent hand-to-eye co-ordination
Physical stamina and smooth movement for mobile camera recording;
Responding quickly to directions.
