Business Development Officer

London

Chocolate Films is a video production company with bases in London and Glasgow. We produce video content for museums, art galleries, charities and corporate clients.

Chocolate Films is a social enterprise, using profits from the video production services to support a wide range of filmmaking experiences for children, young people and vulnerable adults.

We are currently looking for a Business Development Officer to join our London office. You will be responsible for responding to sales enquiries, as well as actively seeking out new clients. This is a role for a sales professional with excellent writing abilities, a strong creative mind and a deep understanding of sales and client management.

Tasks include:
- Responding to enquiries by both phone and email
- Drafting proposals for new business enquiries
- Developing large-scale tender responses
- Working with filmmakers to develop creative treatments in response to client briefs
- Working with the production management team to develop budgets and method statements
- Actively seeking out new business opportunities
- Preparing and leading pitches and interviews for new clients
- Working within the HubSpot CRM to monitor and manage sales performance
- Working with the marketing team on campaigns

Essential attributes:
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Experience in a sales position
- Confidence in public speaking
- The ability to work efficiently and conscientiously, with excellent time management skills
- A passion for developing creative ideas

Desired skills include:
- Experience using CRM software, particularly HubSpot
- Experience using G-Suite

Payment: Annual salary of £21,000-27,000 depending on experience.

Duration: An initial 3 month trial period with a view to a longer term position.
Regular working week Monday to Friday 9.00 - 6pm. Time off in lieu offered for extra hours.
Holidays: 20 days holiday per year, plus bank holidays.
