You'll be joining a dedicated team who move quickly on breaking stories, support one another, and take pride in delivering trusted journalism across radio, online, and social platforms.



The Difference you will make

In this role, you will compile, curate and deliver compelling, accurate and targeted news and sport output for our South East hub. You'll play a crucial part in implementing our editorial strategies across on-air, online and social platforms, ensuring every bulletin is legally sound, Ofcom compliant, relevant and engaging.



You'll help shape the news agenda by reacting swiftly to breaking stories and reporting on local events when needed.



Your role

You'll focus on creating and delivering high-quality bulletins for multiple Bauer news services, supporting the wider news operation and helping ensure our output is fast, accurate and engaging.



Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Deliver compelling, relevant news and sports content for target audiences across the South East.
Guarantee content is legally sound, balanced and Ofcom compliant.
Edit and present bulletins where required, including covering reporting shifts.
Deliver high-quality social media content and upload stories to digital platforms.
Produce clear, concise and accurate copy at speed.
Build and maintain strong contacts to source local stories.
Collaborate with patch reporters and team members to enhance bulletins.


The Skills you will bring

Recognised Broadcast Journalism qualification.
Strong understanding of media law and the Ofcom Broadcast Code.
Excellent knowledge of current affairs and general understanding of sports news.
Skilled in social media, including video and audio content creation.
Ability to work quickly, calmly and accurately under pressure.
Strong collaboration and communication skills.


Working Pattern/Location

We are hiring for a permanent full-time role on a remote basis.
