Broadcast IT Support Engineer

London SW19

MTN are looking for a range of junior assistants and mid-level engineers to support office & broadcast IT. IT Assistants and The Broadcast IT Support Engineer will act as 1st and 2nd line support for MTN's broadcast and IT infrastructure, hardware, firmware and software relating to the production, post production, broadcast, automation, networks, storage & MAM systems. MTN develop, manage and operate a 360º production and broadcast facility. These positions would suit highly motivated individuals, with good IT experience, looking to improve their knowledge of broadcast systems in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities may include some of the following:
Development, maintenance and support for all IT, production and broadcast systems at MTN.
Acting as 1st and/or 2nd line support whilst on shift/call, responding to technical requests/tickets as submitted by MTN staff.
Following guidelines, processes and workflows, as instructed by Senior Engineers and/or Operations Director.
Supporting network infrastructure, development and security.
Providing support for encoding technology and stable delivery of final Channel output to Satellite Uplink provider(s) and CDN.
Providing support for central storage servers, asset backup protocols and archiving.
Managing and developing MAM infrastructure and supporting hardware, requiring an understanding of the back-end processes.
Supporting MAM workflows and scripts supporting enterprise connections and supporting functionality.
Management and development of hardware and software supporting Broadcast Automation and channel branding graphics systems.
Supporting Post Production infrastructure post-production hardware/firmware/software.
Management of (and solving all issues relating to) server-based ingest from studios and tape-based formats.
Creating and updating system documentation, including cable schematics, schedules and workflow diagrams.
Installing workstations.
General cabling and maintenance of office/production spaces.
Tidying and organisation IT equipment.
Skills/Experience:

General:
An advanced knowledge of Mac & Windows OS (Linux an advantage)
Good understanding of networking.
Deciphering Crash + Diagnostic logs on various OS system.
