A leading broadcast hire company, The Kit Room, is looking for an ambitious and dynamic individual to help run our busy rental business.

You will have at least 4 years' experience in a similar role with the television or film facilities industry, be ambitious and tenacious (and have some evidence of both), a good technical knowledge of camera, lights and sound equipment, have the ability to provide first class customer service and problem solving, evidence of having managed a team or significant project, excellent attention to detail, and a willingness to go the extra mile in order to succeed.

ROLE:
- Dealing with key broadcast clients, including preparing - or overseeing - quotations for major projects
- Developing new business as well as maintaining relationships with our existing clients including with the BBC, ITV, and independent production companies
- Overseeing the smooth running of The Kit Room on a day-to-day basis - including managing staff, providing technical support for clients
- Making investment decisions on new kit (in collaboration with the managing director), attending trade shows and liaising with suppliers
- Managing the invoicing and supplier billing for The Kit Room
- This is a permanent position
Although this is primarily a managerial role, the successful applicant will need a good technical knowledge and be able to help prep camera, lighting, sound and edit equipment if necessary.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE
* MUST have experience in a client-facing role within a TV or film hire company

* MUST be able to demonstrate a friendly, out-going, positive approach to handling client requests

* MUST be able to keep calm under pressure and display a 'can do' attitude

* MUST be able to develop and nurture meaningful relationships with clients

* MUST have ability to work professionally with clients and staff alike

* MUST have excellent communication skills

* MUST be motivated and enthusiastic
