The Independent Post Company is the UK's leading post agency. We currently represent 100 freelance editors. The hub of our operation is our bookings department which now needs an assistant to take responsibility for much of the admin back-up of the department. Your responsibilities will range from filtering calls to administering the schedules and updating the editor credits and CVs. The work is intensive and relentless and not for the faint hearted. It is a unique opportunity to learn the bookings craft. As the company grows, the job will expand.
You must be a self starter, willing to learn and give great phone. You must be a team player, eager to learn from your colleagues and have an eye for detail. You must be willing to muck in on every level and use your initiative. We think the job is best suited to an experienced runner who is looking to move up after putting in a minimum of six months running or someone who is looking to graduate from despatch. The job is absolutely not suitable for first jobbers of any description (including media studies students) or Spurs supporters. Post production experience would be an advantage.
