Based in the heart of Shoreditch, we are an award winning digital content agency and media network who are currently on the lookout for an Audio and Video Producer to join our team at History Hit. History Hit is the UK's biggest digital history brand across podcasts, Video on Demand, social media and the web, with more than 100,000 subscribers to its TV and audio networks. Its podcast network, including Dan Snow's History Hit, has millions of listens each month.

This role is working on a part time/fixed term basis and would suit candidates with an interest in gaming - However, this is not essential.

HOW YOU'LL SPEND YOUR TIME

Sourcing guests and writing briefs for podcasts

Editorial responsibility for audio output

Briefing video editors and animators for video output

Ensuring audio and video output is published according to schedule

Managing talent

Working closely with Assistant Producers and Junior Editors

Editing audio where necessary

Ensuring content delivers against editorial brief



WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED

Skills matter, experience is useful, attitude is everything.

Experience of working in audio/video production

Ability to generate ideas and treatments

Problem solved recording in various locations, critical tech check for audio and video feeds.

Experience of managing team members

Comfortable working with high-profile talent and clients

Strong research and script writing skills

Client facing skills dealing with commissioners and/or content sponsors

An understanding of diverse audiences and inclusivity, including viewpoints and stories that are traditionally underrepresented

Ability to record, direct and self-edit with a technical understanding of editing software such as Adobe Audition and Premiere

Ability to interpret and translate editorial feedback, and pass this on to a wider team

Excellent time keeping and ability to stick to deadlines

Great people skills

Strong interest in history, podcasts and storytelling
