Assistant Video Editor

London

Socialed, a leading social media marketing agency, is seeking a skilled Assistant Video Editor to join our creative team. In this role, you will have the opportunity to work on a variety of video projects for our clients, ranging from promotional videos to organic social media content.

As an Assistant Video Editor, you will work closely with our creative team to edit and assemble video footage, incorporating various visual effects and transitions. You will be responsible for organising and managing video assets, as well as assisting with administrative tasks related to video production.

The ideal candidate should have a strong foundation in video editing principles and be proficient in video editing software such as DaVinci Resolve and Adobe Premiere Pro. Attention to detail, creativity, and the ability to work collaboratively are essential traits for success in this role.

Responsibilities

Assist with editing and assembling raw video footage
Add visual effects, transitions, and motion graphics to enhance the overall video production
Organise and manage video assets, ensuring proper naming conventions and file structures
Collaborate with the Video Editing team to meet project deadlines and client expectations
Assist with administrative tasks such as logging and labeling video files
Stay up-to-date with the latest video editing techniques and software
Support the Video Editing team with any additional tasks as needed

Requirements

Associate or Bachelor's degree in Film Production, Video Editing, or a related field
Previous experience as an Assistant Video Editor or similar role
Proficiency in video editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro
Knowledge of visual effects and motion graphics
Ability to work collaboratively in a deadline-driven environment
Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
Ability to take direction and work independently when required
