Assistant to producer

London

Part-time: 2 days a week
Duration: 6 months (initial contract) with a 1 month probation period.

Noor Pictures, a BAFTA Winning and Oscar nominated production company, is seeking an assistant to the producer to work across an exciting slate of projects. There will be opportunity for advancement in the company if you prove a great addition to the team.

Qualifications/Requirements:

This is an ideal opportunity for an aspiring producer who is a recent graduate (BA) or an individual who has produced at least one award-winning short film that has played at a top festival.

You must be eligible to work in the UK.

Responsibilities:

Assisting the producer in day-to-day work. This will include:

> Project related research (crew, cast, box office data), writing/proof reading copy
> Collating quotations
> Assisting the producer in preparing pitch materials
> Online and 'on the ground' location research
> Assembling distribution reports and keeping the database up to date
> Maintaining a calendar of events, adjusting according to any changes
> Provide admin support to the producer and team members

Please note: You will be expected to answer emails for matters such as scheduling meetings Monday - Friday

Essential:

- A passion for film and TV (particularly an interest in art house/indie film and TV drama)
- 'Get up and go' - Energised and enthusiastic, with ability to stick to deadlines and stay cool under pressure
- Initiative - Comfortable working independently as well as collaboratively.
- Strong office administration and IT skills: Confident user of Microsoft Office & Movie Magic Budgeting
- Ability to work with confidential materials discreetly and responsibly
- Excellent communicator (both written and verbal) with strong interpersonal skills; Confident in communication.
- Eager to learn

Applicants called for interview will be sent a script and required to report on its contents. During your interview we'll chat to you about your report and get your feedback.

The applicant would ideally stay the course of development of projects and continue to work on those productions.
