Assistant Script Editor - Waterloo Road

Waterloo Road is looking to expand its team and has a position available for an Assistant Script editor. This is an office-based role in Greater Manchester, and you must have a Manchester address to apply for this role.

Job description:
- Read and proof-read all incoming scripts
- Issue shooting scripts in Final Draft
- Issue script amends to production
- Attend script meetings, be willing to contribute ideas but also take detailed notes.
- Work with the research department to ensure accuracy
- Support script editor where necessary
- Work closely with production

Criteria:
Candidates will be able to demonstrate evidence of the following:
- Can work to tight deadlines
- Has a strong knowledge of Final Draft.
- Will able to proof-read a script accurately
- Will able to work under time pressure
- Will be able to take succinct accurate notes in meetings
- Able to give script notes if required
- A passion for the show is essential
Experience:
Candidates will be able to demonstrate one or more of the following:
- Strong knowledge and experience of Final Draft required.
- Experience working within an editorial department preferable.
- Script reading experience preferable
- Demonstrate a knowledge Waterloo Road.
