About the roleReporting to the Senior Media Producer, the Assistant Producer is an integral part of the King's Digital Creative Media Team, managing the effective running of the media studio and ensuring we meet our growing demands producing online education materials and engaging content. You will work collaboratively with highly talented Media Producers, Video Editors and E-Learning Visual Designers at King's Digital to deliver world-class online courses and learning experiences. Supporting ambitious projects in our studio, on-location and remotely. You will be instrumental in offering hands-on support during filming and recording, therefore technical skills with industry-standard AV equipment will be advantageous. You will also be responsible for managing the Media Team equipment inventory system, maintaining condition of equipment, and managing requests to use our studio facilities from colleagues across the institution. As such, you will bring a positive, can-do attitude managing our media studio and representing the team with various stakeholders. You will be comfortable recording and editing both audio and video content and have experience in coordinating and setting up shoots and audio recording sessions, whether in-studio, on-location, or remotely. You will ensure new media project files are organised correctly and, where necessary, edited into assembly cuts ready for Media Producers and Video Editors to finalise. The Media Team is highly collaborative, and this role gives an opportunity to contribute to the creative and technical innovations we implement moving forward as well as exposure to other education and production experts across King's Digital. Strong organisational skills, confidence in building stakeholder relationships, collaboration, and clear communication skills are key for this position. This is a full time post (35 hours per week), and you will be offered an indefinite contract.About youTo be successful in this role, we are looking for candidates to have the following skills and experience: Essential criteriaA solid understanding of both audio and video production techniques. Experience in using industry-standard AV equipment including cameras, sound recorders and lighting equipment. Experience in using Adobe CC Premiere Pro and Audition for editing. A good understanding of studio, on-location and remote production.? Excellent organisation and communication skills. Competent at prioritising workload and managing multiple projects. Experience in maintaining and optimising the performance of a studio. Desirable criteriaKnowledge of task management tools,?processes?and methodologies?. Experience of content creation and learning design in an educational environment?. Knowledge of accessibility legislation, and experience of producing inclusive content.
