Assistant Producer

London

Marmalade is a creative communications agency specialising in purpose-led activation strategies, corporate comms and brand campaigns. We are passionate about creating change with our content and deliver award winning campaigns for a diverse mix of global brands, corporate firms and NGOs.
To support our plans for growth we are looking for an ambitious Assistant Producer, to support the Creative and Production team.

You will work in a highly creative environment alongside a close knit team of Producers and Creatives.
The role is broad. You will be working across projects and pitches, storyboards and creative treatments, offline editing, motion graphics and post-production, as well as supporting across research and keeping Marmalade's online presence current and relevant.
The ideal candidate will be a creative thinker, who can manage multiple projects and prides themself on always staying 10 steps ahead.
Unflappable under pressure, they will have a high level of technical knowledge with meticulous organisational skills, exceptional attention to detail, outstanding communication skills and a calm and thoughtful nature.

Responsiblities:

• Proficient using Adobe software, in particular Premiere, Photoshop and After Effects.
• Construct offline edits, with either filmed footage or stock footage. Including syncing footage, editing interview cut downs and creating a narrative based on the storyboard.
• Researching stock footage to bring the narrative on each project to life.
• Researching music from various music libraries to find a track that fits the tone of the project.
• Logging projects on the company Sharepoint and Vimeo system, ensuring every project has double back ups.
• Responsible for saving music and footage licenses of each project.
• An understanding of Photoshop
• Produce campaign mock ups to showcase to potential clients how the creative could look - the ability to produce gifs and animations is a bonus.
• A good understanding of After Effects to create simple graphic treatments for films and an understanding of what is possible within animated graphics.
• Experience using Keynote and PowerPoint to create pitch decks for prospect clients and create storyboards for film briefs and present scripts in an exciting way.
• Edit mood reels for pitches, bringing to life the creative idea with an exciting reel.
• Work with business directors to assist them with deck layout and uploads to our Squarespace pitch site.
• Work across our social media generating imagery to accompany our social posts. Assist with uploading on the various social channels.
• Ability to use Squarespace and regularly update the company website with new projects, new copy or new imagery. Any additional coding experience is a bonus.
• Oversee the archiving of projects and a knowledge of location of current and archive projects - keeping the documentation for this up to date.
• Oversee company domains and subscriptions - keeping a track of when elements are due to expire and updating.
• Responsible on local shoots for DIT and ensuring all footage is properly logged and securely backed up, taking photos of BTS.
• Purchasing and licensing stock footage and library music on projects.
• Managing our Vimeo account
• Logging all materials purchased for projects to assist the account director.
• Camera operating useful

The ideal candidate:

• Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
• Strong Adobe software skills, particularly with Premiere, After Effects and Photoshop.
• Strong editing skills and ability to craft a narrative
• Excellent research skills an ability to adapt to requirements of different clients.
• Exceptional organisational and logging skills
• Comfortable using both Keynote and Powerpoint
• Good understanding of the shoot process and requirements including crew and equipment.
• Someone who can read a script and visualise it the narrative.
• Ambitious creative knowledge and drive.
• Strong understanding of technology and able to help others with technology support.
• Someone who can adapt to the changing needs, alongside being confident and approachable with a positive attitude is essential.
• A value add attitude, constantly searching and striving for improved ways of working.
• Excellent workload prioritisation and ability to multi-task whilst maintaining high levels of attention to detail and meeting deadlines.
• Comfortable with ambiguity, change, demonstrating resilience and ability to work at pace.
• Can demonstrate ability to build productive relationships across all levels, with strong influencing and networking skills.
• At least four years within an agency or production company required.
