Assistant Producer

London

Loose Women is a show that's making waves - and headlines - around the world. Whether it's getting celebrities to open up like never before or flying in Hollywood stars like Goldie Hawn to guest present, Daytime's longest-running talk show continues to set the news agenda every weekday for our million-plus viewers. And now, you have a chance to join our talented team...

We are looking for a superstar Assistant Producer, brimming with brilliant, never-seen-before ideas for TV content that will continue to get our viewers talking. You must know the topics that are guaranteed to connect with our audience and be able to source interesting and unique stories before they break anywhere else. The ideal candidate will be able to turn current affairs, showbiz, human interest and hard news stories into compelling debates, knowing just how to strike that delicate balance between light and shade on our show.

You will know how to get the best from a celebrity guest and establish and maintain strong relationships with PRs and talent to ensure the best content is featured on Loose Women. You will have a journalistic background and be used to working in a live news environment.

As you will be assisting the producer in the gallery to oversee studio production, you must have experience of live daytime television, strong people skills and the ability to supervise where and when is appropriate. You must have an understanding of compliance guidelines and OFCOM regulations and a flexible approach to work as you will be working to a shift pattern, which will on occasion include weekends and bank holidays.

Last, but not least, a great sense of humour is a must - as well as talking about the tough issues of the day, Loose Women provides our viewers with a laugh at lunchtime.

If you think you fit the bill and thrive on the buzz of working on a live network programme, we'd love to hear from you!

Please send your CV together with FIVE ideas for topics you think would be perfect for a Loose Women show, as well as THREE newsworthy guest suggestions you believe would generate great content and headlines.

Closing date for applications: Wednesday 21st March 2018
