Description
Brown Bag Films requires an assistant editor to work with our Post-production team on a variety of exciting animation series over the coming months. The position will involve working closely with our Post-Production and Production teams. Work will include building animatics, shot breakdown of animatics and assembly edits of offlines.

Key Areas of responsibilities:

Shot breakdown of animatics.
Animatic rough builds.
Dropping in voice pick-ups to edit.
Offline reviews with CG team.
Checking retakes and updating shot status.
Outputting and encoding movies from Adobe Premiere/Media Encoder.
Preparing offline edits for Online/Audio Studios.
Reporting to Post Coordinators shot status updates.
Filling in tracking charts and paperwork for Post Department.
Supporting on-going edit projects and senior editors across post pipeline.

The successful candidate will have the following:

Demonstrable experience of editing experience preferably on Adobe Premiere.
A solid understanding of broadcast video technology, video formats and the post production process.
Experience of working in a high-volume environment and working to broadcast deadlines.
Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
The ability to keep a cool head under pressure and work independently.
Good communication skills - keeping supervisors up to date on progress.
Experience and knowledge of animation is an advantage, but not essential.
Understanding of a networked edit solution is preferable.
