In this role, you will play a vital part in the content development and production process, assisting with commissioning content while also preferably possessing the skills to shoot and edit engaging social video content as required. You will work closely with the commissioning team to develop and produce high-quality video content for various platforms, contributing your creative vision and technical expertise.You will also liaise with external agencies, content creators and freelancers as required.Job descriptionAs a Assistant Commissioning Producer you'll:Assist in Commissioning Content:collaborate with the commissioning team to identify potential content creators, freelancers, and partnersassist in negotiating contracts and agreements with content creatorscoordinate project timelines, deliverables, and budgetssupport the commissioning team in developing content concepts and strategiesShoot Social Videos:utilise your videography skills to shoot high-quality video content tailored for social media platformscapture engaging footage that aligns with the brand's objectives and target audienceensure proper lighting, framing, and audio quality during filmingadapt shooting techniques to various environments and situationsEdit Social Videos:edit raw footage into compelling social videos that resonate with the target audienceuse editing software to add graphics, text overlays, music, and other visual elementsimplement creative storytelling techniques to maximise engagementoptimise videos for specific social media platforms, considering aspect ratios, video lengths, and other platform-specific requirementswork with other team members across social video output to ensure content is optimised for each platformContent Optimisation:stay updated on social media trends, algorithms, and best practices to optimise content performanceanalyse video metrics and audience feedback to identify opportunities for improvementcollaborate with the commissioning team to iterate on content strategies based on performance dataProject Management:work with the Commissioning Producer to manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring deadlines and deliverables are metcoordinate with internal and external stakeholders to streamline production processesmaintain organised files and documentation related to video shoots and editsexperience of creating or managing digital/social content for a brand, agency or similarproven experience in video production, with a focus on shooting and editing social videosproficiency in videography equipment, including cameras, lighting, and audio gearadvanced skills in video editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or similar toolsstrong understanding of social media platforms (e.g., Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, YouTube) and their content requirementscreative mindset with the ability to generate innovative content ideasexcellent communication and collaboration skillsstrong project management abilities with the capacity to multitask and prioritise effectivelyPerson specificationWe're interested in people who:have experience in digital and/or social content production with a focus on commissioning and overseeing content creationhave an understanding of digital and social media platforms, audiences, trends, and best practiceshave excellent project management skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks, meet deadlines, and manage multiple projects simultaneouslycan demonstrate creative thinking and a keen eye for quality content, with the ability to provide constructive feedback and guidance to teams, content creators and external stakeholderspossess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams and external partnersunderstand and use analytics tools and platforms for monitoring and analysing content performancehave strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards of quality and brand consistencycan adapt to a fast-paced and evolving environment, with a proactive and solution-oriented approachfamiliarity with content creation tools and software, such as Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, or video editing softwareexperience with influencer marketing or partnerships with digital content creators
