Start and End Date: 4th January 2021 - 5th September 2022, but start date asap for additional work pre-Christmas.Hours: Full TimeSalary: Depending on experienceLocation: Remote working, but based at Aardman's studio in Bristol when required, abiding to current Covid protocols & procedures.We are looking for an Art Director to become part of Aardman's first fully in-house CG/mixed medium series. The series will be 52eps x 11mins.The purpose of this role will be to provide Art Directing services, having overall visual direction for the series - including locations, characters and props - in collaboration with the Series Director, Producer and Clients, to a high quality. The Art director will oversee the main character designs from the Series Director's brief - becoming the Main Character Design Pack, amending in line with internal and client comments.The successful candidate will oversee the creation and amendments on all episodic characters (new and key SPCs) and props, whilst working with other HODs to find solutions for scheduling and technical issues to ensure the production runs smoothly and on time.You will need to have Art Directing experience on a broadcast series and have experience of running a team in a production environment. We are looking for someone with strong communication skills and artistic sensibilities, with experience using Illustrator and Photoshop.Closing date for all applications is 5pm Friday 27th November 2020.
