Great Big Story, the socially-driven storytelling video brand from Turner/CNN is in search of a bright, connected Account Manager to represent the brand in market across Europe. The Account Manager will work within the CNN International sales team in London, and will collaborate closely with content solutions, marketers and creatives from around the global business.Great Big Story is a global media company devoted to cinematic storytelling. Headquartered in New York, with bureaus in London and Stockholm, our studios create and distribute micro docs and short films, as well as series for digital, social, TV and theatrical release. Since our launch in late 2015, our producers have travelled to more than 80 countries to discover the untold, the overlooked and the flat-out amazing. Humans are extraordinary. Reporting to the Commercial Director, the Account Manager will work within the CNN International sales team, and will collaborate closely with content solutions, marketers and creatives from around the global business. The successful candidate will be a self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment and will be accustomed to target driven environments. Key duties and responsibilities include:Analysing the industry and using your existing network of contacts to look for the most relevant brand partners for Great Big StoryPro-actively organising and attending meetings to increase market awareness of Great Big Story and drive new incoming RFPs for the businessCollaborating with Content Solutions and Creative Partnerships teams to develop attractive content packages, both proactively and in response to briefs, to increase revenue coming to the businessWorking with sales teams from other CNN/Turner properties to develop multi-platform proposals as and where relevantConsistently monitoring internal data and industry trends to uncover new monetization opportunities across brands, agencies and verticalsPlaying an integral role in developing and improving upon our go-to-market strategy; working hand in hand with the Content Solutions team to develop new ideas, new sales collateral (brand decks, one sheets, etc.) and partnership opportunities that are relevant for the marketKnowledge and experience requiredEssential:Significant digital media sales experience with an emphasis on premium video content; candidates with advertising agency, publishing or media background highly preferredStrong knowledge of the online advertising industry, branded content, video and native as well as millennial audiencesExperience in managing the pitching process and closing complex, content-led briefsCommercial mentality and strong negotiations abilitiesAbility to think creatively and sell strategically, with strong analytical and project management skillsAbility to meet deadlines in a fast-paced, dynamic environmentPassion for digital media, video content and quality-first publishingExcellent communication skills, including professional and creative proposal writing; ability to interact with clients and clearly understand the objectives of a brief and how to respondAbility to build long-term client relationships over time with clear objectivesDetail-oriented, organized and confident, with an ability to handle/lead multiple projects simultaneouslyMust be self-motivated, driven and able to work independently as well as being able to function with a positive attitude within a teamDesirable:Enthusiasm for intelligent, thought provoking storytellingInterest/broad knowledge of the TV industry and NewsBachelors' degree, or equivalent experienceWorking from our London office in the heart of Soho, you will have the opportunity to work for a truly global media company.
