Role Overview:

In this role you will be responsible for the creation and enhancement of 3D content for digital screens instore, digital outdoor media, social media, and web. You will be a team player, collaborating closely with 3D generalists, motion designers, digital designers, and creatives, to produce impactful 3D and motion content across digital platforms for JD, which is engaging, dynamic and contemporary. You will be a self-starter, process driven, organised, proactive, and self-motivated. You will be confident working individually and as part of a team. You will be creative, innovative, and passionate about 3D motion. You will have a strong foundation of 3D and motion design principles. You will have a modern and fresh approach to creating high quality 3D animation, pushing the boundaries in what is possible in 3D.

Key Areas Of Responsibility

Produce 3D motion and 3D content for various platforms, sometimes to tight deadlines, whilst maintaining high quality across all outputs.
Collaborate cross-function to enhance and elevate content and develop campaigns further through introducing 3D elements, contributing to mixed media content production.
Adhere to JD brand guidelines and ensure all content is produced in a customer focused manner maintaining quality standards.
Impart C4D + Redshift knowledge and skillsets to motion team members and nurture collaboration.
Maintain awareness of relevant industry technology / innovations and software releases, sharing knowledge with the team and pitching ideas to management to ensure approach, processes and techniques remain current and efficient.

Skills/Experience/Knowledge needed:

Fluent and efficient in Maxon Cinema 4D + Redshift.
Excellent 3D motion design skills combined with a strong foundation of motion design principles.
Ability to work independently and as part of a part of a squad, to conceptualise and deliver high quality 3D motion design and 3D content for various campaigns and mixed media projects.
Knowledge of Marvelous Designer, ZBrush and Substance Painter is a plus.
Ability to storyboard concepts quickly, design style frames and clearly articulate ideas to line manager and other team members.
Knowledge of Adobe CC, especially Adobe After Effects and Media Encoder.
Strong communication skills.
Strong creative / concept development skills with strong ability to storyboard concepts quickly and clearly articulate ideas to line manager, key stakeholders, and other team members.
Able to follow the department's quality management and project management systems and employ a methodical approach to digital asset management and project organisation.
Appetite to move content forward and create exciting, on brand motion.
