We're looking for 2D Designers to join a very special new 2D pre-school series called, Maddie + Triggs for CBeebies and RTE. This audio-first series is founded on the principle that 'If two kids, one sighted and one vision impaired, sit down side by side to 'watch' the show, neither will have a lesser experience'. With accessibility as a primary consideration, you'll create environments/Locations, props and characters following the design style guide. For senior roles, previous series experience is essential.Responsibilities:Working from descriptions given by the art director/series director and by reviewing scripts and animatics, you'll create backgrounds for each scene that follow the bold and graphical visual style for the show, using Adobe Animate.Complete all rough, revised and final designs necessary within assigned deadlines.Resolve design problems with creative supervisors.Communicate progress of work to appropriate production staff.Ensure all artwork is properly backed up and stored appropriately.Skills:Ability to closely follow established design rules, using minimum necessary detail to create an environment/background, through simple geometric shapes, strong silhouettes and contrasting colours.Uncluttered 'storybook' design compositions that focus attention on characters and action.Use of colour to establish and reflect the setting, mood, time of day etc as required.High level of technical drawing skills to create clean and precise artwork.Have a high level of technical drawing skills.Creativity and innovation.Experience using the Adobe Creative Cloud suite.Experience of using FTrack desirable but not essential.Strong collaboration and communication skills.Series experience is essential.Understanding of the 2D animation pipeline, especially in regards to layering background art.BenefitsSalary: £30,000 - £38,000 pro-rated21 days holiday (including birthday off!), increasing with long service + Bank holidaysFlexible workingPension contribution increasing with long service32-hour work weekEmployee Assistance ProgrammeRetail DiscountsContractFull time, ASAP start dateLocationRemote (UK - must be outside the M25)
