Digital Video Executive

Racecourse Media Group (RMG) is a broadcast media company owned by 37 UK racecourses. It broadcasts live horseracing on multiple platforms in the UK and distributes racing content to a range of national and international partners to maximise the media rights value (both by revenue & reach) to shareholders. Racing UK broadcasts live coverage from a portfolio of 37 of the UK's top racecourses. The high definition channel includes the Derby, Royal Ascot, Cheltenham Festival and the Grand National amongst others in its big-race portfolio. The coverage includes 289 of the 315 principal races in the Jumps and Flat calendar.
Overview of position

An opportunity to work for the leading horse racing media rights organisation, supporting the Racecourse Marketing Manager and Media Manager in a variety of clipping, archive and publishing tasks at their broadcast facility in Ealing, West London and supplying this content to RMG's Shareholder Racecourses .
In this role you will handle a variety of different forms of media and full training will be given in: IPD, media storage systems, file processing, file delivery facilities and digital media publishing.

Key Responsibilities
- To support the effective operation of media systems and workflows
- To support the Racecourse Marketing Manager in planning and implementing Racecourses' requests to use content on a daily basis
- Manage social media video clipping (YouTube, Facebook, Twitter etc.) to achieve marketing and commercial objectives
- Provide support to address restore requests of footage for daily output
- Liaise with MCR and Timeline Television on resolution of any technical issues
- Maintain up-to-date and meaningful KPI reports for all published digital video assets, including monitoring of Racecourses' social media activity
- Manage media during peak demand periods out of hours, including weekends during major festivals
- Guide racecourse staff and agents with their media queries
- Ensure metadata is accurately logged and published alongside video clips
- Assist with the delivery and management of clips from ITV Racing to the Racecourses

Required Skills/Experience
- Degree-level qualification or similar
- A talent for problem solving, locating media and an understanding of client liaison
- Experience of supporting video databases or video publishing systems
- Knowledge of EVS and IP Director or similar workstations
- Experience of YouTube, Snappy TV, Brightcove, Grabyo or similar ingest and publishing systems
- Understanding of FTP/ingest of clips
- Logging of metadata and organization of media
- An interest/good understanding of horse racing
- Excellent Team Player

Essential requirements/Qualifications
- At least 1-2 years' experience of working in a modern video publishing Tapeless environment or qualifications regarding the technical requirements for this role
- Proven track record of achievement
- Strong IT skills
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Good organisational skills with strong attention to detail

This role profile is a guide to the work you will be initially required to undertake. It may be reviewed from time to time to incorporate changing circumstances, and you may be required to be flexible and perform other duties as required by your manager. It does not form part of your contract of employment.
Salary: Competitive
Circa £28,000 per annum (dependent on experience)
