Vod Programming Assistant

London

Nickelodeon's Multi-Platform department is looking for a super organised spreadsheet lover who can come in and assist our Production Coordinator and Content Manager in collating and managing the metadata and imagery requirements for each of the catch up services Nickelodeon provide.

You will be part of the Multi-Platform department who are responsible for the sourcing, scheduling and management of all Nickelodeon's non-linear content across a number of platforms.

You will be a team player and will be the point of contact for the other four departments within Programming; Programme Acquisition and Development, Channel Strategy, Planning and Scheduling, Compliance and Access services and Media Planning. The Programming department sources, schedules and promotes great content to attract the maximum number of viewers to Nickelodeon's portfolio of channels, linear and non-linear. Your part in this will be to make sure that the content safely gets to the clients in a format they are happy with, using spreadsheets to keep track of all of the content and specifications.

Building and maintaining great relationships with clients will be key so you will be an amazing communicator and make sure that the Nickelodeon brand is being represented in the correct manner.

You will have a keen eye for detail and spot mistakes from a mile away!

This role is very deadline driven so you will thrive in this environment and have a pro active attitude towards your work, always striving to improve processes where possible and aiming to stay a step ahead!

Department
Nickelodeon is a top performing commercial kids TV network in the UK. Launched in 1993, it comprises seven dedicated award-winning entertainment channels for kids aged 2-12: Nickelodeon, NickToons Nick Jr, Nick Jr 2 and Nickelodeon HD, the first HD kids channel in the Sky Kids Pack.

The Nickelodeon network now reaches more than 10 million viewers a month and is available in 12.7 million cable and satellite homes.

The company has built a diverse multi-platform business by putting kids first in everything it does and includes critically acclaimed and hugely popular television programming and production in the United Kingdom and around the world, plus consumer products, online, events, recreation and feature films. Nickelodeon UK is a joint venture between MTV Networks and BSkyB.

Nickelodeon network shows include: SpongeBob SquarePants, Dora the Explorer, Penguins of Madagascar, live action hits iCarly and Victorious as well as UK produced Summer in Transylvania and Humf.

Key Responsibilities
What you'll be doing;
Compiling and distributing the Metadata requirements including imagery for each of the various Catch Up Services Nickelodeon provide.
QC and spot checking Platforms' exact specification and deadlines for Content Delivery.
Managing the delivery of programme materials to each of the various Platforms in the required format and ensuring deadlines are met.
Providing cover for VoD Programming Coordinator as and when required.
Assisting the VoD Programming Coordinator in production of the various images required for each of our Platforms.
Assisting the Department and Manager on any new services or ad hoc projects that arise.
Reviewing each Platform's service to ensure the Nickelodeon Brand is being represented in the correct manner.
Building and maintaining strong working relationships with each of the Platforms programming and operational teams.
