Video Production Intern

Want to kick-start your career at the world's biggest Music and Entertainment brand? MTV has an exciting opportunity for a Video Production Intern working in Digital Media.

We're looking for individuals that are bursting with creative ideas and enthusiasm as well as excellent attention to detail and organisational skills. You'll love entertainment, music, celebrities and the internet, and be happy to get stuck in on whatever the job calls for. Ahead of the curve on all things digital, you're an expert on YouTube, social media and memes and know what works online.

Reporting to the producer, you'll learn the digital media business from the ground up. You'll be supporting the department across all aspects of production - from actively pitching ideas to assisting on shoots and edits and overseeing production admin. The successful candidate will form an integral part of our very busy team and will thrive in a fast paced environment.

Job Key ResponsibilitiesAssisting in day-to-day running of video content on the site
Assisting on shoots and edits
Contributing to brainstorms and generating ideas for features and formats
Researching and writing interview questions
Drafting scripts
Drafting copy for website and social media
Drafting risk assessments and call sheets
Assisting producer with clearance processes
Assisting in the loading of video, images & copy onto the website
Assisting the producer in finding and researching archive content
Ensuring up-keep of departmental digital library system
Ensuring up-keep our of digital storage and sharing systems
Ensuring footage is found and logged correctly and in time for all edits
Creating QuickTime files and DVDs for clients and departments
General department admin - booking transport, reconciling expenses and managing production paperwork

Job Role SkillsExperience in a video production and editing environment
Hard-working, positive attitude with an ability to cope well in a stressful environment
Quick learner who uses initiative and is able to think on their feet
Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
Creative thinker who enjoys generating ideas
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Experience with Adobe Premiere Pro and Final Cut Pro
Basic experience with After Effects
Mac literate
Basic Microsoft Office skills
Competency in design software e.g. Photoshop, Illustrator and After FX desired but not essential
