Video Producer

Are you creative, curious, and compelling? Can you collaborate with multiple teams to make stories come to life? Do you understand what makes an "undercover economist" or a behavioural finance economist tick? You might even be one yourself!

You could be just the person we need to help us tell the world how important, interesting and (occasionally) exciting investing can be - and why it should pay attention.

Fidelity is currently revolutionising the way we produce content and share our insights with clients. Video is right at the forefront of these advances. Your role will be responsible for producing video content that is useful, unique and unforgettable. In this new role, you will have the freedom to shape something novel and imaginative to best engage our varied audiences around the world with your storytelling.

We have our own media studios in London and Hong Kong, as well as extensive internal and external resources to help you pioneer new video formats.

Key Responsibilities

• Creating a global video content plan around regular and ad-hoc editorial pieces,
• Delivering video closely aligned with our editorial aims and which brings out the best commentary and insight from our experts
• Managing production from conception to publication:
• Hands-on content creation using our studios: coming up with an idea; scripting and storyboarding; working with investment / business experts; preparing, coordinating and overseeing shoots (sometimes on location); and being responsible for editorial oversight from start to finish.
• Managing external agency commissions
• Offering creative consultation to teams producing video content across our locations
• Managing multiple internal stakeholder relationships
• Reacting quickly to news to turn around timely and high-quality opinions
• Using analytics to improve our video content offering
• Staying current on both broadcast and social media trends and innovation, as well competitor activities

Our ideal candidate will have/be:

• A background in Broadcast & / or journalism
• The ability to confidently direct and collaborate with senior stakeholders and investment professionals.
• Creative, imaginative and highly organised
• A proven track record of producing cutting-edge video content in news and/or marketing/advertising/creative agency environments
• Good judgement of what makes great content, and the ability to articulately justify why.
• An awareness of how to measure the impact of videos - and how to act on the metrics
• Experience of making content for use across different languages and cultures
• A genuine interest in economics, financial services and investing
• Used to collaborating in a complex, international organisation
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment and manage several projects concurrently
