Video Director

Brave Bison are looking for a Director to join their creative team in Central London to work on Slash Football.

Director:
You will be expected to have a proven track record in this role with 5+ years of Directing experience in commercial film production and post­production. We would like you to invest yourself in each production in an articulate and creative way, ensuring that you are the key problem solver and driving force.

You will be responsible for working into the creative, editorial and production teams in order to ideate new video campaigns. A large part of the role will be creating treatments and writing scripts.

It's important in this role to have great attention to detail, be able to immerse yourself completely in our channel and our content pillars, and ensure that you approach your work in a creative, highly motivated way. Having proven experience in fast turnarounds and ideas creation and delivery is also key.

You should be enthusiastic and work well within a team environment. You will be willing to work in a team and organisation that is ever changing, and be comfortable with the 'start up' mentality. You will be very passionate about your role and very passionate about creative/film.

Day to day role:
Working closely with the Creative and Editorial team, the Director's skills and dexterity will determine the delivery and output of the final product, so experience working within a digital media environment, such as television programmes, feature films, music videos and advertisement, is imperative.

The Director will be responsible for overseeing all creative ideas that are put forward, they will input into how we should treat each piece, how it should be shot and crucially ensure the ideas are feasible.

A strong understanding of social, especially Facebook video, is essential and understanding how users digest different forms of video on different social networks.

Job Function:
- Understanding the SlashFootball audience and style of video content
- Overall digital editing of digestible, informative, humorous videos for a variety of BraveBison verticals.
- Maximise efficiency around the video process, organising your time accordingly and have a firm understanding of how long projects will take, communicating with video team efficiently.

Job Skills Required
- 5+ years previous commercial/professional experience
- Experience of video formats and broadcast specifications
- Proven experience in storytelling within the 30'', 60'' and 90'' commercial edit formats
- You should be capable of problem solving where needed and also keep a keen eye on how we can improve our processes and services
- Technical proficiency in Adobe systems - mainly Premiere Pro, After Effects and basic Photoshop knowledge
- Script & treatment writing
- The contacts and ability to provide the right crews or 3rd party suppliers to deliver the creative being proposed
- A creative eye is essential and something we wish to support and develop
- Strong understanding of social media and audience development
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Good organisational and time management skills, with strong attention to detail
- Proactive approach to work and problem solving
