Working closely together the stations look to connect the BBC with the next generation of young audiences and be the leading voice in young UK culture.

The Assistant role will be part of a team that sits within any of the following Content Management disciplines - Business, Operations, Scheduling, Commissioning, Production, Personal or Team.

Role Responsibility

As a Team Assistant you will be supporting the team to ensure effective team administration, assist with the organisation of the team, and will facilitate smooth office organisation that will support the creative ambitions of the production team. You'll provide comprehensive administration support, support processes and systems ensuring all data is accurate and timely and have an understanding of BBC policies and work within BBC guidelines.

The Ideal Candidate

We need your understanding, passion and knowledge of a wide range of the music genres featured on BBC Radio 1 and 1Xtra. You'll have excellent practical knowledge and skills in using a range of broadcast and office packages, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint. You'll be able to prioritise, use initiative and to work effectively without close supervision and to meet deadlines, often under pressure.
