Our diverse team of over 250 team members work in offices across the UK and beyond, producing top level sports such as Formula One, UEFA and The Paralympics, as well as branded content, prime-time documentaries and entertainment quiz shows for a raft of broadcasters.
In 2023 Whisper won a BAFTA and was nominated for an International EMMY. It's co-owned by Sony Pic-tures Television and is a seven-times Broadcast Best Places to Work.
We are looking for a Researcher to work across our Wimbledon Broadcast Services production.
The role would suit somebody who is an avid fan of tennis, has an understanding of the tennis broadcasting landscape, and the raw skills and determination to be a crucial part of our creative content team.

The role will be in the planning and preparation team for the build up to The Championships, onsite through-out Wimbledon itself, and will include work on our Official Film after The Championships are over.

Key Responsibilities:
• Being a core member of the Wimbledon production team, keeping up to date with developments and trends within tennis, and sharing knowledge and creative ideas with the wider team
• Supporting the generation and research of content ideas and setting up of contributors and filming
• Ensuring all on-screen content is thoroughly researched and factually correct
• Researching archive material, including sourcing the clearance requirements to use any such foot-age
• Logging material and organising it so that it can be reviewed by APs and Producers to use
• Providing support on shoots, and during edits when required

Knowledge, Skills, and Experience:
• A strong knowledge of professional Tennis
• Experience with complex workloads, consistently prioritising and delivering to deadlines, and reacting positively to changes and conflicts
• Experience of working as a researcher in sports content is desirable
• Ability to generate ideas and share these with the wider production team in a clear and concise
manner
• Strong research techniques and an interest in current TV sports programming and content
• Strong knowledge of Whisper's editorial guidelines and compliance policies, or a willingness to
establish this quickly
• Ability to work collaboratively and clearly with the wider production and senior management teams
• A demonstrable level of creativity with the ability to bring a fresh new approach to creating engaging and evolving output
• Basic camera operating and editing skills are a bonus but not essential

Location:
Kew and Wimbledon, London

Working Days:
This role will require a degree of flexibility and weekend working.
You will be expected to work with the team to plan your schedule based on production requirements.
You will be required for the entire 21 day Wimbledon Championships period 24th June - 14th July.
Lieu days will be given for any days worked over a five-day week.
Whisper offer the option of flexitime hours subject to production requirements.
