Research Intern

London

NBCUniversal International is offering a number of 12-month Research internship positions within various business divisions, including NBCUniversal International, NBCUniversal International Studios, and Universal Pictures International (UPI), to start in July 2017.

As an Intern, you will be supporting a fast-paced team to deliver valuable research and insights whilst developing your own skills. You will have the opportunity to make valuable contributions to your department and build your knowledge in order to pursue a career in Research.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Exact responsibilities will vary slightly between each division and team, however the main responsibilities of any Research Intern will include:
•Assisting with daily database maintenance
•Ensuring quality of information in various reporting systems
•Maintaining new media reporting tools, working with external agencies where appropriate
•Collating various reports and updates for distribution as appropriate
•Monitoring and communicating market trends
•Liaising with internal/external stakeholders at various levels on a regular basis
•Research international market opportunities
•Support maintaining budgets and forecasts, and any other financial analyses required
•Create PowerPoint slides to present market intelligence back to team
•Providing administrative support on various projects including preparing presentation materials, incorporating multi-media materials (video, music, web content etc.)
•Conducting research on competitors as necessary
•Contributing to ad-hoc projects and tasks
•Providing admin support to the team as required
Education and Qualifications
You will ideally be currently studying a degree-level or equivalent course, seeking a 12 month internship

Essential
•A passion for Broadcasting and Media (particularly an interest in film and/or TV) with a desire to develop a career in Research
•Proactive and enthusiastic, with ability to work autonomously to deadlines, take initiative and keep calm under pressure
•Analytical with outstanding attention to detail, excellent organisational skills and ability to effectively prioritise and manage workload
•Self-starter and fast learner, with the ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a busy team
•Strong office administration and IT skills; confident user of Microsoft Office
•Ability to work with confidential materials discreetly and responsibly
•Strong analytical and numerical skills
•Excellent communicator (both written and verbal) with strong interpersonal skills; confident in communication with senior management
•Willingness to learn and "can-do" attitude

Desirable
•Basic knowledge of Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop could be advantageous
•Previous work experience in a similar environment
Requirements
•Must be eligible to work in the UK without restriction for the duration of the internship
•Fluent English is essential; additional languages may be useful
