Post Production Runner

London

We are looking for a post production runner to support a busy in-house post department.

The purpose of the role is to help productions feel comfortable and supported in the editing environment. This role is ideally suited to entry level candidates who wish to pursue a career in post-production. The role is predominantly offering hospitality to Editors and Producers, whilst also keeping areas tidy, running errands and supporting the technical team with library and other admin duties.

Candidates should be available for extra weekend shifts and overtime as needed. Many of the shifts will run into evenings and will occasionally be as late as midnight or later.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Provide regular refreshments to edit suites throughout the day (inc drinks, making toast, biscuits, lunch, dinner)
• Ensure the teams are happy and comfortable in their suites - reporting back any issues to the Post Producers or Head of Post
• Keeping across up to date edit suite door signs
• Keeping refreshment supplies in stock
• Keeping sweet jars replenished in suites
• Ensuring rooms have all items, contact sheets, etc available as per a check list
• Runs as required around Soho area for collections/ deliveries/lunches/ refreshments
• Handling cash and reconciling with receipts
• Keep edits and post areas tidy, presentable and stocked with stationary at all times
• Assist with the logging in and out of media and kit using the asset management system
• Hand out timesheets to relevant freelancers
• Assist the Post Team as necessary with orders/ general admin/ labelling
• Frequent wipe down of shared equipment such as keyboards, phones, etc
• Report any cleaning needs, broken furniture, missing items to Head of Post

ESSENTIAL SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
• Highly organised, self motivated and pro active;
• Experience in a customer facing role - i.e retail, bar work, etc;
• Bright and enthusiastic personality;
• Able to demonstrate a team working mentality;
• Hard worker able to deal with a fast paced environment.
