Summary
To provide technical and operational support to Media Technology and Post Production systems including but not exclusively: Avid Media Composer, ISIS, Interplay, Assist, ProTools, Final Cut Pro, Final Cut Server, Xsan, After Effects, Cinema 4D. Working to maintain the highest levels of system reliability and user satisfaction across video, audio, transcode and file delivery systems

Responsibilities
• To provide 24/7 support to all Media Technology systems and users
• To perform in-depth system maintenance, support and troubleshooting
• To support and document new systems and processes
• To liaise with third party vendors / support as required
• To work effectively within the Media Technology team
• Evaluate new technology and make recommendations as required
• To document systems and workflows for engineering and operational users
Requirements
• Post Production / Broadcast engineering experience
• Ideally educated to degree level / recognized equivalent
• Holding appropriate qualifications (Avid ACSR etc.)
• A high level of familiarity with non-linear video and audio post production systems,
• Experience of video transcoding, file delivery, SD / HD Video standards and Audio standards
• Track record of technical excellence with a willingness and ability to participate in developing business opportunities
• Able to work independently and with other members of a team.
• Able to create, read, and decipher system schematic drawings and SOPs

Metrics:
• Completion of issues raised within the shift or competent handover of outstanding issues to next shift
• Increasing level of experience on all key systems within the Media Centre
• Continual refreshing of knowledge when new projects are completed
