MAIN DUTIES

• Take delivery of all new materials and returned materials
• Update logs and keep track of material
• Management of the post production libraries and archive including digital archive
• Process tape orders on SD or HD
• Primary point of contact for the Sales department, to ensure they receive materials to satisfy external tape and digital orders.
• Monthly finance reporting to Head of Post Production
• Quality control of tape based material/digital materials either received or created in-house.
• Reporting any faults found in material back to producers/sales executives/post houses.
• Assist in digitising rushes in preparation for an edit/playing out on to tape.
• Uploading/downloading files from various FTP sites
• Ordering new stock
• Hiring equipment
• Organising couriers and taxi's and updating necessary logs
• Transferring material on to LTO, and from Data DVD to digital archive
• Dub SD and HD tapes to fulfil sales orders
• Tape to tape fixes
• Dealing with external/internal enquiries and orders and if necessary, delegating work to the right person
• Responsible for dealing with incoming calls/emails to the department in absence of Managers
• Booking in edits (in managers absence)
• Creating clip tapes
• Providing quotes for edit / dubbing work

KNOWLEDGE
• Good understanding of digital files, formats and workflows
• Knowledge of broadcast formats
• Good working knowledge of VTR machines,
• Proficient in Word and Excel, Avid and Apple software
• Knowledge of different HD/SD tapes and files
