Are you a filmmaker, videographer, or an aspiring one with a minority background? We are always looking for new voices as part of our commitment to the diversity of our editorial content and the contributors that we use.

If you belong to a minority group through your ethnicity, gender, disability, age, sexual orientation, religion or belief, we invite you to apply for a place on a Film Pitching Workshop with the Multimedia producers covering Current Affairs, Sport, and Culture sections.

Ten shortlisted filmmakers/producers will be invited to join us for a workshop our offices in London on Wednesday 14th March 2012, to:

· Discuss how to approach commissioning editors and pitch your ideas
· Discuss the technical and practical needs to get your film made.
· Explore ways to encourage more producers from minority backgrounds to make videos for the Guardian
· Create a link between new filmmakers and our existing editors
· Help our editors to become more conscious of diversity and inclusion issues that affect minority communities
· Aim to get your film(s) commissioned and made for our site

To apply, submit one or two Film pitches (max 300 words each) for a 3-5 min Film in Current Affairs, Sport, or Culture, plus details of your previous work.

The deadline is midnight on Sunday 26 February 2012.
