Locations Runner, Emmerdale - Freelance Talent Pool

We are currently looking for Location Runners to work on our award winning drama Emmerdale, over the busy summer months on 3 month freelance contracts.

You will be responsible for helping the Locations team to help set up a Unit of Emmerdale. We have multiple units shooting simultaneously, so you will need to be flexible and adaptable with the ability to help us run more than one Unit at a time - you may start the day on one location and end the day on another, so there is a great deal of variety and adaptability within this role!

You will be a punctual team player with an enthusiastic and committed approach and be able to communicate effectively with a wide range of people including local authorities; location owners and the public. You will also be a diplomat - absolute discretion and confidentiality is a requirement of this role.

You will be required to work long, unsociable hours whilst working outside in inclement weather conditions. You are likely to be the first to arrive at a location and the last to leave. You must be able to anticipate problems and respond quickly as issues arise. There is a manual handling element involved in this role and you will also need to hold a current valid driving licence.

This is an entry level role, although it would be preferable if you have a credit list of working in the capacity of a Runner or other similar roles in the TV industry. Strong organisational and administration skills are required. You will have the ability to work under pressure, and be prepared to change your working pattern at short notice.
