We have a vacancy in our busy production and post-production company for a lead editor / 2D motion graphics operator. You will work happily on both Avid and FCP and have strong After Effects skills.

Applicants should have at least 5 years experience working in commercial broadcast post-production and be familiar with international broadcast standards and the technical requirements of broadcast QC. You will lead our post-production team (comprising 7 editors / compositors / 3D artists) plus freelancers and work alongside a technical director to oversee MCR activities, focussing on QC in a predominantly tapeless workflow.You will also work with the producer team to help scope projects and define post-produciton workflows when required.

The successful applicant will have a strong technical understanding of their tools / server systems (Avid - on Unity, Final Cut Pro 7 on FC Server) and associated plugin's / render tools. As leader of the team we also look for good inter-personal skills and the ability to get the best out of the team, encouringing their development.

You should be comfortable helping to scope post-production requirements on projects with producers as part of pre-production planning and work well into a producer team to meet deadlines and review points throughout the life of a project.
