Job Introduction
We are currently seeking a Junior Project Manager to work with the Project Delivery team on broadcast technology projects. IT & Technology Delivery is part of the Technology Division in the Finance & Operations Group and is made up of four teams, Project Delivery, Information Security, IT Strategy and Policy and Solution Development.
Project Delivery is responsible for the delivery of a wide range of projects across the whole of the BBC's estate. We manage projects from initial feasibility, solution design, business justification and approval to procurement, delivery, handover and training. We work closely with a variety of stakeholders and suppliers - both internal and external - to ensure that the BBC's investment benefits are realised through the delivery of a variety of projects and programmes.

Role Responsibility
The Junior Project Manager will work with the Project Manager and stakeholders to define timescales, scope, approach to business change and engagement, quality and handover criteria. You will also be responsible for producing appropriate documentation to support the creation of business cases.
It is your responsibility to ensure that you are completing the specified project or element of a project assigned to you within the agreed time, cost and quality constraints to enable the delivery of agreed benefits whilst maintaining strong, ongoing relationships with key stakeholders.
You will identify, evaluate and manage risks, issues, dependencies, and scope change associated with the project and will be responsible for producing key documents during the implementation phase including regular highlight reports. You will also ensure that any issues are escalated accordingly in a timely fashion.

The Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate will have knowledge of project management terminology, tools and techniques and will also have strong Microsoft Office skills and experience in manipulating data to make it meaningful for different audiences.
You will have experience prioritising and planning workload whilst balancing priorities and deadlines in line with project requirements. Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to influence and manage a range of relationships in a complex environment is also essential.
Experience in understanding technical documentation and applications including AutoCAD LT and an awareness of traditional and new technologies used in the broadcast environment would be desirable as would a relevant project management qualification such as Prince2 or APM.
This role is based in Salford but you will be expected to travel both within the UK and worldwide depending on the nature of the projects you are working on.
