Junior Development Editor/Researcher

Shine TV, the BAFTA award winning company behind Masterchef, The Island with Bear Grylls & Hunted have an exciting trainee position available for a 'Junior Development Editor & Researcher' to join the in-house Development Team.

We are searching for a dynamic, multi-skilled self-starter with a passion for factual television & storytelling, looking to begin or progress their career.

While the position will provide a valuable opportunity to learn programme research skills, idea development and involve shooting (on C300/XF305) we are particularly seeking someone with a solid technical understanding in editing.

Candidates must be confident in their knowledge of resolutions, frame rates, aspect ratios, codecs, gamma and similar. A knowledge of post-production, from ingest and transcode to editing and delivery is essential, including experience using either Premiere Pro or AVID. Basic After Effects and Photoshop skills are also advantageous. A real passion for problem-solving and attention to detail are vital.

This is a great opportunity to join a busy development team and gain solid industry experience as well as further honing your editing skills. Training and development opportunities are also offered as required. The role also includes maintaining the department's C300 and XF305 camera kits, so experience of working with these systems is a bonus.

The initial contract start is June 2017. Salary commensurate with experience. Application deadline is Sunday 7th May.
