Graduate Intern, Festival and Community Coordinator

Full-time, until August 2016
Salary: £17,108 per annum

This new role is ideal for a candidate looking for their next challenge. You will be confident and articulate with the ability to engage in top level conversations with decision makers.

You will have experience of achieving commercial results with social media, and general events support. Experience in managing social media channels is favourable as is experience of the global film festival circuit.

There are three main areas of responsibility for this role; building relationships with the various festivals for LFS student submissions, engaging with social media communities, and supporting the team with events management.

We are building a new team and our priority is improving our understanding of customers and delivering marketing strategies through analysis and creative campaign management.
The Role
There are three main areas of responsibility for this role; building relationships with the various festivals for LFS student submissions, engaging with social media communities, and supporting the team with events management.
The role is key in supporting social media reach via engaging with our followers and helping to convert them into leads, customers, active fans and promoters of the brand.
Ensuring all marketing communications activities are supported across online designations where possible and that all presence is brand compliant. You'll collaborate with the team on content creation and uploads for various platforms and coordinate festival submissions for the school.
Additional responsibilities: assist team with other marketing tasks but not limited to corporate events and data management

Responsibilities
- Build and manage the company's social media profiles and presence, including Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Google+, Pinterest, and potentially additional channels (Snapchat, Instagram, Vine, etc.).
- Create shareable content appropriate for specific networks to both spread our brand, our content and links.
- Listen and engage in relevant social discussion about our company, competitors, and/or industry, both from existing customers and leads and from brand new audiences that don't yet know us.
- With support from the team, run regular social promotions and campaigns and track their success, ranging from Twitter chats, to Google+ Hangouts, to Facebook conversations, as well as the content and links posted through these and other channels.
- Work alongside the team to help distribute content that educates and entertains our audience.
- With support from the team, drive consistent, relevant traffic and leads from our social network presence.
- Explore new ways to engage and new social networks to reach our targets.
- Coordinate the student film festival submissions and support the Media Manager with its promotion of all shortlisted films.

About You
Requirements
- BA/BS degree.
- Excellent communications skills
- Understanding of Social Media: best practices and trends in social media marketing, enjoy being creative, and understand how to both build and convert a digital audience.
- Portfolio (Tumblr/Journal/etc)
- Active and well-rounded personal presence on social media, with a command of each network and their best practices.
- Excellent communicator and creative thinker, with an ability to use both data and intuition to inform decisions.
- Ability in creating segments by lifecycle stage and engage accordingly. You will be our ear to the ground to route influencers to social conversations.
- Bonus experience and skills include Adobe Creative Suite, demand generation marketing, inbound marketing, and blogging.

Person Specification
- Past experience producing content for the web specifically, as well as channel-specific knowledge (blog, SlideShare, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, etc.)
- Past experience building audiences either online or offline.
- A dual-minded approach: You're highly creative and an excellent writer but can also be process-driven, think scale, and rely on data to make decisions
